The Ohio State basketball team is looking to keep their momentum off their big win earlier in the week. They were able to beat the number one team in the country in Duke in impressive fashion on Tuesday night. Now, we get some early conference action against Penn State.

Penn State is a team that doesn’t have as much talent as the Buckeyes. They already have three losses on the season and none of those losses were good. They lost by 25 to UMass earlier in the season. If they’re going to win today, they’ll need to play their absolute best.

Jamari Wheeler will be returning to the place where he played his first four years of collegiate basketball. Wheeler has had an up-and-down start with the Buckeyes. His three-point shooting is valuable and his defense has been good at times.

E.J. Liddell will be the best player on the floor in this game. Liddell was fantastic against Duke and has been great all year. He averages over 21 points per game and is shooting 55% from the field. He also is averaging 7 rebounds a game and has been really good on defense too.

If the Ohio State basketball team is truly as talented as they showed on Tuesday, this is a game they shouldn’t have too many problems with. Unfortunately, all of their games have been close. Their wins and their losses have all been high-stress games for the most part.

The Buckeyes will be playing this game at 7:30 pm tonight on BTN. I’m hoping that Chris Holtmann can keep the momentum going and lead his team to a big win and start the Big Ten season off with a 1-0 record in the conference.
