The Ohio State football team is getting down to the nitty-gritty of their schedule. The last three opponents they will have faced will have been ranked. They already took down Purdue on Saturday. Now, they take on the Spartans of Michigan State.

While we don’t know where the Spartans will be ranked in the CFP yet, they will be at least 7th. That will make them the highest-ranked opponent that the Buckeyes have faced all season long. They definitely present some unique challenges as well.

Michigan State is coming off a win against Maryland. They won that game 40-21. Kenneth Walker had yet another good performance. Stopping him will be key if Ohio State wants to walk out of the Shoe with a victory. Having the game at home is a big advantage for them though.

Ohio State football vs. Michigan State prediction Week 12

Ohio State’s offense is the best in the country statistically. Having Garrett Wilson back in the fold shows how dangerous of an offense they are when they have everyone available. They should be pretty healthy for this game too, so the offense should be unstoppable.

The worrisome unit is the defense. They played well in the first half against Purdue, but still allowed a lot of yards and points late. The good news is that Michigan State is more of a running team. The one thing the Buckeyes have been able to do well recently is stop the run.

With all of that being said, I have the Buckeyes coming out on top 45-21. I think the offense is just too powerful to be stopped. It should be yet another win right before taking on TTUN for the right to go to the Big Ten Championship.
