Ohio State basketball vs. Niagra: Preview

The Ohio State basketball team will play their second game of the season tonight when Niagra comes to town. The Buckeyes start the season out 1-0 after beating Akron on Tuesday with a game-winning shot from Zed Key. They will be looking to play better in this one.

Ohio State showed that they are a work in progress this season. They are searching for someone who can make up for the points and the shooting that left with Duane Washington leaving for the NBA. He was sorely missed on Tuesday night and it was painfully obvious.

E.J. Liddell is going to have to be the focal point of this team. We knew that coming into this season, but Tuesday night solidified just how good he’s going to have to be if this team wants to be even a little bit dangerous at the end of the year.

Zed Key is clearly the second-best player on this team as well. He would likely start again tonight if Kyle Young is once again held out due to his vestibular dysfunction. Young will likely be another game-time decision today. He’s getting closer every day to coming back.

Niagra is much worse than Akron is as a team. They shouldn’t come anywhere close to where Akron was in terms of the score. The Buckeyes should be able to take care of this game without too much issue, although it could still be bumpy in the first half.

Expect the Buckeyes to win this game much more comfortably tonight. The game is a 7 pm in the Schott. The game won’t be found on a regular TV channel. As far as I understand, the game should be on BTN+.

I think the Ohio State basketball team wins this game by a score of 82-60. They should be able to score more in this game too.
