The Ohio State football team will host Purdue this weekend after the Boilermakers upset Michigan State. It was a reminder for everyone at the top of the CFP rankings to not let their guard down because if they do, they could be staring at a loss.

Purdue comes into this game against the Buckeyes full of confidence. They completely destroyed Michigan State in every facet of the game last week. They were in complete control of the game in the second half and never took their foot off the gas. OSU is going to try to keep that from happening this week.

Ohio State struggled last week against a Nebraska team that has only won a single Big Ten game. In fact, they were in danger of losing the game until Noah Ruggles hit his fourth field goal to give the Buckeyes a two-score lead late in the fourth quarter.

The Buckeyes know they have to play better this week against a better opponent. This is an opponent they can’t mess around with. Purdue is too deadly on the offensive side of the ball to allow them to hang around for too long. That could come back to bite Ohio State.

I have three bold predictions for this game. Some are good for the Bucks, some are bad. All three have a real possibility of happening but are a little out there. It’s always fun to talk about something a bit unexpected.

My first bold prediction talks about Purdue’s offense and what level of production to expect from them as a whole.
