Ohio State Football: 10 bold predictions for Ohio State vs. Penn State
By Alex Austin
Ohio State is going to have their offense clicking from beginning to end.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is going to be the beneficiary of a big day.
The Buckeyes have the three best wide receivers in college football. No matter who the other player is, I honestly do not think I would trade Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, or Jaxon Smith-Njigba for anyone else in the country. With Olave and Wilson getting the majority of the attention, Smith-Njigba has benefitted.
Smith-Njigba is going to be the leader in years this game. I think Olave has two touchdown receptions but Smith-Njigba is going to be the key player in getting the Buckeyes down the field. There is only so much you can do as a defense when the two wide receivers on the outside are first-round draft picks, but leaving Smith-Njigba open is going to hurt.
Miyan Williams is going to have more rushing yards than the entire Penn State team combined.
Williams has had plenty of opportunities to showcase his skill this year. In this game, the Buckeyes are going to remove any doubt of the outcome early. Williams is going to have plenty of chances to gash a vulnerable Penn State run defense.
On the other side, the Nittany Lions struggle running the ball and will likely have to pass even more to try and keep pace with the scoring. Williams will take over in the second half while Ohio State will do what they can to keep Penn State from controlling the line of scrimmage.
