Ohio State Football: 10 bold predictions for Ohio State vs. Penn State
By Alex Austin
The Ohio State defense is going to be able to tee off.
Buckeye Rushmen have five or more sacks.
Penn State has some good talent at the wide receiver position, but Sean Clifford is not a quarterback that is going to challenge many teams. Especially if he is still recovering from an injury, this unit is going to be hampered in what they can do. Pair that with Ohio State scoring a lot of points very fast, and Penn State is going to need to rely on a weak part of their team to win.
With the defensive linemen able to pin their ears back and rush the quarterback, there are going to be plenty of opportunities to get in the backfield and make some noise. I think the Buckeyes make a big statement.
The Buckeyes get at least two interceptions.
For the reasons mentioned above (increased passing and not being good at passing) Clifford is going to force the ball and make some bad decisions. After not getting a pick-six last week, the Buckeyes will be hungry to get back in the turnover column. I think Denzel Burke gets an interception when shadowing Dotson throughout the game.
