Ohio State Football: Three keys to beating Indiana
By Ryan Stano
3. The Ohio State football team needs to stay focused
While the Buckeyes were on a bye week, number 2 Iowa was busy getting destroyed by Purdue. You want to know why? Because they didn’t stay focused. They thought that the Boilermakers were a pushover team that they could just run over in their sleep.
That clearly wasn’t the case, and Iowa paid the price for it. Ohio State can’t repeat their mistake. They know that their margin for error is zero with the loss they already had to Oregon last month. They have to win out to go where they truly want to go.
In order for them to avoid that, they have to stay focused. They can’t look ahead to the showdown against Penn State in two weeks. They have to focus on the team in front of them and treat them with the respect they deserve. If Ohio State can do that, this game shouldn’t be any issue.
Once this game is over, they have one more cupcake game against Nebraska before the gauntlet continues. Penn State won’t be an easy matchup in two weeks, but they can wait. The Buckeyes face the Hoosiers first, and they can’t forget that.
I’m excited to see how good the Buckeyes are able to play. I hope they can keep their level of play high.
