Four Week 7 games to watch on Ohio State football’s bye week
By Riley Thomas
With the Ohio State football team off this week, Buckeye fans will need their weekly dose of college football from other teams this weekend. Week 7’s slate of games looks like it could end up being an uneventful weekend. However, some said the same about last week, yet it turned into one of the best weekends of college football in a long time.
There are a handful of games that could impact Ohio State’s season, whether that be within the Big Ten conference or for the Buckeyes’ position for the College Football Playoff. Here are four games that could end up being meaningful for the Ohio State football team.
#10 Michigan State at Indiana
The best game in the Big Ten this Saturday could be Michigan State at Indiana. These are two teams Ohio State will clash with in the next month and a half, with the Bucks traveling to Indiana next week.
The Hoosiers have been disappointing this year after they were ranked in the preseason mostly due to their QB Michael Penix. Indiana was competitive with Cincinnati earlier in the year but got stomped by both Iowa and Penn State.
Meanwhile, Michigan State has blown everyone out except Nebraska this season. The Spartans’ offense has taken a huge leap thanks to their star running back Kenneth Walker. But still, some doubt how good MSU is due to a weak schedule up to this point.
With the Buckeyes playing Indiana next week, this will be a game worth checking out. Plus, Michigan State will come later in November, this game will reveal just how good the Spartans are this season.
