The Ohio State football team has their bye week this week. It happens to come exactly in the mid-point of the season. They have played six games and now have six games left to go in the regular season. It’s been a season with a lot of ups and downs already.

It looked like the Buckeyes were going to be possible favorites to repeat their appearance in the National Championship Game when the season started. Then the disaster against Oregon happened and expectations changed. Things changed within the team dynamic as well.

Now they seem like they are on course to really put a strong run together. They look like they might be the best team in the Big Ten and will look to put the bye week to good use to make sure they can show the rest of the country that is in fact the case.

Now that it’s the mid-point of the year, it’s time for some mid-season awards. I will do five awards that I think are important to state at this point of the year. We have a large enough sample size to declare winners in each of these categories so far, and things could certainly change by the time the end of the season arrives.

The first award I have to give out has to do with the offense. It’s been a really good offense so far, and here’s who I believe the Offensive Player of the Year has been to this point for the Buckeyes.
