Ohio State football dominates Maryland thoroughly
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team looked great against Rutgers last week. That was the best game they had played all season. They ended up playing even better against Maryland today in dominating fashion.
Ohio State ended up beating Maryland badly, winning the game 66-17. The Buckeyes’ offense was completely unstoppable the entire game, especially when the first-team offense was out there. They looked much better than they have all season.
C.J. Stroud was amazing in this game, going 24/33 and 406 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was simply sensational the entire game. It’s amazing how much better he is now that he is healthy. He looks like a completely different quarterback out there.
Stroud’s performance wasn’t the only thing to be happy about. The Buckeyes once again had a pick-six in today’s game despite giving up some yards early. They ended up showing how good of a team they are when they really buckle down on defense.
If you’re looking to nitpick, the running game wasn’t as strong as it could have been early. While TreVeyon Henderson did have two touchdowns in this game, the offense couldn’t get much going early in the game on the ground. It was something that was slightly concerning early in the game.
The Buckeyes looked great in the game though. They look like a team that is peaking at the right time. They are hitting their stride right before the hardest part of the schedule hits. Ohio State knows they have to go undefeated the rest of the way and look good doing it.
All in all, this was a great performance by Ohio State. Hopefully they keep it up.
