The current Ohio State football coach and the former Ohio State football coach are at much different points in their careers. Day has lost one regular-season game in three years and has done nothing remotely close to bad off the field, and has already played for a National Title.

Meyer, on the other hand, has yet to win a single game this season as coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and is embroiled in an off-the-field scandal that threatens to submarine his season further. His job could be in jeopardy after the season after just one year on the job.

Today during Day’s weekly press conference, Day was wearing something that caught a lot of people’s eye. It was the same quarter-zip that Meyer was wearing during his uh, dance with another woman. Some on Twitter think this was a troll attempt.

To me, this doesn’t seem like a troll attempt at all. It’s a very nice quarter-zip that I’m sure many staffers have. I very much believe that it was just a coincidence that he is wearing the exact same one Urban happened to be wearing this past weekend.

I also don’t believe that Day has any ill-will towards Meyer. Why would he? Meyer brought him on staff and put him in line to be the coach of one of the most successful college football programs of all time. I’m not sure why Day would want to show any sort of anger towards him.

While internet trolls may be having fun with this today, I refuse to go down that road. I may not be above making fun of Urban Meyer for his issues, but Ryan Day certainly is. He has bigger things to worry about right now.
