Ohio State should be able to rely on their best players and get a solid win against Rutgers.

5 true freshmen will record more snaps than upperclassmen at their position

Let me explain, Ohio State is going through somewhat of a youth revolution. There have been a player or two who have been upset about losing playing time, but most understand that the best players are going to play. That includes a true freshman getting his due if he puts the team in the best chance to win.

We already have a pretty good idea that Henderson, Jesse Mirco, and Denzel Burke will get the majority of snaps that their positions, just based on previous game snap counts. Tyleik Williams has been a monster and I think he gets the nod in the interior of the defensive line alongside Haskell Garrett.

The last true freshman to get increased playing time is Jack Sawyer or J. T. Tuimoloau at the defensive end. Ohio State has been needing an infusion of energy along the line, and both these players played well against Akron. Don’t be surprised to see them build on early success and end up playing more throughout the game.

Ohio State holds Rutgers to 14 points or less

If you’re doing the math, I have the Ohio State football team scoring 40+ and holding Rutgers to 14 or less. In other words, I see a blowout coming. The Buckeyes finally looked the part last week, and I think that confidence will help the team moving forward.

Sick of hearing that Akron is terrible (which they are), the Buckeyes will show that they can put together a dominant performance against a respectable team. A big win should quiet the crowd that believes the Buckeyes are done and put them as the favorite in the Big Ten once again.
