The Ohio State football team took care of business against Tulsa, and now the conference season starts as the Buckeyes travel to take on Rutgers.

Last week was fun. I know, I know, it was only against Akron. But, the Buckeyes finally performed the way they were supposed to in a game, which means fans actually had the chance to be happy. The Ohio State football team needed to make a statement by shutting the Zips and they did just that, but that doesn’t mean all of their questions were answered.

With conference play starting this week there are still plenty of questions that need to be answered. This applies not only to the Buckeyes but across the nation there does not seem to be the usual cohort at the top. The Buckeyes could take a big step in quieting some concerns by putting together an impressive performance this weekend.

Rutgers is a good step for the Buckeyes to start their Big Ten schedule as they are not at the very bottom but are not too challenging. October will be a good month to ease into more difficult play before taking on the traditional conference heavyweights in Penn State, Michigan State, and Michigan.

Here are the questions Ohio State needs to answer against Rutgers to show continued improvement.
