Five Bold predictions for the Ohio State Football team vs. Akron
By Alex Austin
The Ohio State Buckeyes score over 60 points in a feel-good game for the offense getting back on track.
Against opponents that are going to struggle keeping up athletically with the Buckeyes, there are not always key takeaways. A player getting a lot of yards this week does not necessarily show what they will do against more difficult opponents. What the Buckeyes can do to help move forward is completely dominate.
I expect the offense to score on every possession and to not let their foot off the gas. I think this will be a good moment for the unit to gain some confidence and show that they still have what it takes. If McCord does well that will only add to the quarterback controversy moving forward, but for at least one week this team will be riding high.
I do not think that scoring nine touchdowns is out of the realm of possibilities for this team. With so many weapons, it is just a matter of time before they are able to find the endzone. I think Ryan Day learned from last week and will be more aggressive and make sure big plays are happening through the ground and the air. This will be a chance to celebrate a feel-good victory for the Ohio State offense.
The Ohio State football team needs an offensive output like this. They need to show some improvement on that side of the ball for sure.
