Five Bold predictions for the Ohio State Football team vs. Akron
By Alex Austin
The Ohio State football team will enter their week four matchup against Akron with a new starting quarterback, need to show improvements on both offense and defense.
Ohio State is already a quarter of the way through their season, but they have a lot of work to do. On both sides of the ball, the Buckeyes have more questions than answers with only one week left before the start of Big Ten play against Rutgers.
The Buckeyes have been terrible on defense, which is something that they normally can put their hat on. It seems like they still do not know who their eleven best players are and rotate in the team trying to find someone who can understand where they need to be. Struggling to stop the run or create pressure on the quarterback has doomed Ohio State’s ability to get off the field and get the ball back to their offense.
The offense has struggled to put a complete game together so far this year. A strong passing game with no running options one week completely reverses next week. The pieces are there on offense, the team just needs to find that consistency. If the Buckeyes want to win this year, it will need to be on the back of their offense. A game against a weak defense could help this group find the rhythm they are looking for.
With a game against Akron, here are five bold predictions for Ohio State.
