The Ohio State football team will take on Akron this Saturday. They do so after having to struggle with Tulsa for most of the game on Saturday. This is another team they should blowout without any problems, but problems seem to have arisen with this team this season.
Even though Ohio State beat Tulsa 41-20, it wasn’t a game that anyone should feel good about. There wasn’t much good on the defensive side of the ball and the passing game is still a work in progress. Hopefully, those things can change this week.

This Ohio State team has some real problems that they must fix. That doesn’t mean they’re going to lose this game, but it might mean that they don’t cover. I won’t predict another score that covers the spread unless they show me some real, tangible improvement as a team.
Akron is one of the worst teams in college football. They should have no chance in this game from the start. If they start to move the ball on the Buckeyes, it’s a real problem. At that point, this Buckeye team could end up losing three Big Ten games alone.

As for this one, Ohio State should win 42-7. Akron just isn’t very good. But until Stroud shows he can throw it more accurately, I can’t predict a cover.
