Ohio State has a pair of young players who become the MVPs of this game

In the second half against Minnesota, Ohio State had two young players who showed what they are capable of. C.J. Stroud had an incredible second half being both efficient and accurate, leading his team to four touchdown passes and a win. TreVeyon Henderson had an electrifying catch and run that showed how fast he can go. Against Oregon, these two players put in even better performances.

I think Stroud throws for four touchdowns and is in the 300+ yard range. Rather than get the majority of his stats from four throws in the second half, however, I see Stroud having a balanced game throughout. The first quarter will likely be his worst as he gets more comfortable, but in quarters two-four he will put on a show and cement his place as the starting quarterback on the roster.

For TreVeyon Henderson, I think the coaching staff clearly saw what he was capable of and should be looking to get him more touches. I think Henderson gets 15 carriers with 5 more catches to have around 20 touches for the game and over 150 yards in total offense.

Miyan Williams will get an increased amount of touches too, giving both both running backs big games. But, this will be a coming-out party for Henderson who will look to be the third big-time weapon on the offense moving forward.

I hope I’m wrong with my second bold prediction. But I called them “bold predictions” for a reason. We’ll see what happens about 48 hours from now!
