Zach Harrison stepped up when the Buckeyes needed him most

Ohio State was in a fight against Minnesota when the Buckeyes needed a momentum-turning play. There were a lot of ways this could have come, but the player who stepped up was Zach Harrison. Getting around the edge, Harrison was able to not only come up with a sack but strip the ball.

Haskell Garrett was in the right place at the right time scoop the ball up and run it back for a defensive touchdown. This was the turning point in the game and it never felt like Ohio State was going to lose.

Zach Harrison has been hyped as becoming the next great defensive end for Ohio State this year. There are still times where he is just a half-step away from the quarterback, and to become truly great he is going to need to create more than just pressures, but when Ohio State needed someone to step up Harrison had the answer.

No matter what needs to be improved, Harrison can sleep well this week knowing that he was one of the key difference-makers. This confidence will hopefully help him become the next great player and turn this defense into a top unit.

Now those are all of the winners and good things from Thursday night. Now we take a look at a couple of losers.
