Ohio State Football: 5 winners and 2 losers from OSU vs. Minnesota

A freshman running back made a case for significantly more carriers going forward
There was a lot of excitement coming into the season around freshman running back, TreVeyon Henderson, and he did not disappoint. The big play will obviously be his incredible catch and run for a 70-yard touchdown. But, Henderson showed that he deserves a much bigger share of the carries going forward.
The Buckeyes went with Master Teague and Marcus Crowley for 12 out of the team’s 23 total carriers. With over half the load they got just 48 out of 201 total rushing yards. They had decent if not great average yards per carry but lacked the explosiveness that separates a good running back from elite.
From all accounts, Teague and Crowley are great teammates, but they are not going to be difference makers. From what we saw on Thursday, Miyan Williams and Henderson have the explosiveness to be key players on a National Championship run.
Henderson not only can provide a spark on the ground but as we all saw, he can be another threat through the air. I would expect Ryan Day to start shifting the carriers to Williams and Henderson so that they can provide a spark more often.
The last winner from Thursday is a defensive end who is trying to have a breakout year.
