The Ohio State football team got the win against Minnesota, and here are the positives and negatives that stand out for the Buckeyes.

The best part about being 1-0 is the opportunity to go 2-0. Ohio State took care of business on Thursday night with a 45-31 win on the road against Minnesota. While the first three quarters were full of back and forth action, the Buckeyes pulled away to gain a solid win. It was great to see a rocking house in Minnesota and to see football back in normalcy this year.

The biggest winner is that Ohio State did get the win. A game on a Thursday, at night, on the road, in the rain, with a new starting quarterback, against a quality team, before one of the biggest games of the season, had all the makings of a trap game for the Buckeyes.

Instead, Ohio State will enter the Oregon game undefeated overall and in the Big Ten. Oregon will likely rise into the top ten this week (as long as they earn a win) setting up one of the best matchups for next week.

Before we get too far looking ahead at the next game, let’s take a final look at what parts of the Buckeye game faired well, and where the biggest work still lies.
