The Ohio State football team begins their Big Ten title defense on Thursday when they travel to face Minnesota. Here are bold predictions for the Buckeyes.

After a long offseason, it is finally time to have football each Saturday again. For Ohio State they will actually start their season a few days early, taking on Minnesota on Thursday night. The Buckeyes are entering this year with a lot of new faces, but the same expectations to win the Big Ten and make a run at the National Championship.

Minnesota is looking to play more like the 2019 version of the Gophers who came within one game of winning the West, rather than the 2020 version who posted a losing record.

While many years start with teams playing cupcake non-conference opponents, this year we see two Big Ten teams clash early on in the season. This will be a good test for Ohio State who welcomes Oregon into Columbus the following week.

The Buckeyes are going to show the world what they look like following the departure of Justin Fields to the NFL. With a new-look offense and a defense that is looking for major improvement this year, there is a lot of excitement about what Ohio State can accomplish this year.

While we’ve already made a prediction for how the game will shake out tomorrow night, none of those predictions are particularly bold. Here are my bold predictions for Ohio State vs. Minnesota.
