The Ohio State football team takes on Minnesota on Thursday in the first game of the season. It will be the first time these two teams have faced each other since 2018. With them being in opposite divisions, they don’t see each other very often.

Having this game start on a Thursday night and it being the first game with fans in two seasons, I expect the atmosphere to be electric the entire night. There are a lot of young players in key positions for the Buckeyes and they will have to navigate the loud crowd.

We mainly know who will be starting for the Buckeyes prior to this game. What we don’t know is how the new starters will react to their first taste of real playing time in their young careers. It will be fascinating to watch that dynamic and find out who is mentally strong and who isn’t.

There are three main keys for Ohio State to start the season off with a win and get the year off on the right fit. If they follow these three keys, there is no reason why they won’t walk out of Minnesota with a victory. That’s what they have been preparing for all offseason.

The first key for the Buckeyes has to deal with the offensive side of the ball early in this game.
