The Buckeyes have a 1,500-yard rusher on the roster

Ohio State has yet to officially name a starting running back, but that doesn’t mean the team doesn’t have a player in mind. While there has yet to be anything official, by all reports TreyVeon Henderson has had an incredible camp and is pushing to be the starting running back in his freshman year.

The former five-star recruit brings speed, power, and agility to the position in a way that could remind fans of J.K. Dobbins. If Henderson gets the nod from the beginning of the season he could light up the Big Ten.

Part of his lofty rushing stats will come from his pure talent, Henderson is a great player. the other reason comes from the wall of mountains Henderson will be able to run behind. The Buckeye offensive line is huge, experienced, and ready to show they are one of the best in the country. There is no better way to break in a new quarterback than by making sure he does not have to do too much.

While C.J. Stroud will have plenty of opportunities to shine, knowing that if the worst-case scenario happens and he is having an off game, Ryan Day can run the ball all day and still find success is comforting. Last year Ohio State did not find their guy at running back until late in the season when Trey Sermon broke out, this year they find him from day one and ride him to an incredible freshman season.

The next bold prediction has to deal with the passing game and how the starting quarterback will perform.
