Ohio State is the favorite to win every game they play this year, but that doesn’t mean the Buckeyes won’t trip up as they have in years past. Who is most likely to upset the Buckeyes?

The Ohio State football team has had loads of success over the last two decades. Plenty of wins, Big Ten Championships, Bowl game wins, National Championships, and a stellar record against Michigan. But that does not mean the Buckeyes are prone to heartbreak. So far, Ryan Day has a perfect record in the regular season with his only two losses coming in playoff football.

But the odds say that eventually, his team will lose. That could happen in a big game where he is the underdog (not likely Ohio State will be underdogs in the Big Ten) or it will come as an upset. Urban Meyer seemingly struggled with an inexplicable loss each year (Iowa in 2017 or Purdue in 2018) during a traditional trap game.

A trap game is not a game where the teams will both be highly ranked. Oregon, for example, will likely be ranked inside the top 15 so that would not qualify as a trap game. There are a few instances where a team could sneak up on Ohio State and come out with the win.

Of those opportunities, these are the three that have the biggest chances of happening this season. All of these games are going to be tough for the opponent to beat the Buckeyes. Even so, these three teams have the biggest chance of pulling out a victory over them.
