3 Ohio State Football players to get to know this year
By Alex Austin
Its time for the Ohio State Buckeye Rushmen to come back
One of the weaknesses of last year’s National Championship runner-up team was the lack of an elite difference-maker on the defensive line. Yes, there were outstanding players, but last year lacked what Buckeye Nation had grown accustomed to during the transitions between Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, and Chase Young.
This is an area that Ohio State will need to improve if they want to stay competitive against the top teams, and the man most likely to step up is already on the roster.
Zach Harrison came to the Buckeyes as a highly recruited five-star prospect. With Chase Young in front of him, he spent most of his freshman season developing. 2020 provided a host of new challenges for Harrison and when he played he was good but not necessarily great. This year expect Harrison to be great for Ohio State.
Harrison is now entering his third season working with Larry Johnson, and it is expected that Harrison will be the next in a long line of Buckeye greats. There is a good chance that Harrison becomes a household name across the country based on how good he is about to get.
If Ohio State is going to go where they want to go, Harrison has to be the straw that stirs the drink on the defensive line. He has to wreak havoc in the backfield. The next player on this list is another breakout candidate we have been talking about for the last few months.
