The Ohio State football team will have a string of new Buckeyes this year as they look to maintain their hold on the Big Ten. Here are the top three players to get to know before they have a huge year.

Part of being a fan of Ohio State is that the end of each season sees a couple of household names go to the NFL. Year after year we see Buckeyes selected in the first round of the draft that need to be replaced.

2021 will be no exception. Ohio State will enter the year with high expectations and enough talent to make another run at the National Championship, but new names are going to step up in order to fill those holes.

Some positions have clear incumbents while others are having position battles that will rage on through training camp and into the season. At the end of the day, however, Ohio State seems to always fill the holes and be competitive.

The coaching staff seems to be ready to fill these holes with some new Ohio State football players that are ready to take this team to the next level. There will be a lot of pressure on them early, but it’s nothing that these guys didn’t sign up for and can’t handle.

Ryan Day is going to be tasked with defending his two previous Big Ten Championships and trying to keep his unbeaten streak alive in Big Ten play. Here are the top three players Day will be counting on stepping up and playing huge roles this fall for Ohio State.
