The Ohio State football team might be very young this season but they are still one of the most talented teams in the entire country.

The Ohio State football team is extremely young at some key positions this season. Quarterback, linebacker, and the entire secondary are very young across the board. All of these position groups will have new starters who don’t have any experience of playing real snaps.

Despite all of that youth and inexperience, the Buckeyes are still one of the most talented teams in the country. Whichever quarterback ends up winning the job was still highly touted as a recruit and was one of the best players in the country at their position.

Same goes for members of the secondary. The linebacking group is slightly different in that regard, but they still have players who have plenty of talent. Ohio State is better than most teams that would be in this situation. That’s because of the recruiting efforts of Ryan Day.

Day has set his roster up where they don’t rebuild, they reload. This is a year that will test that theory. With all of the inexperience, teams have a shot to sneak up on the Buckeyes. It’s up to Day and the seniors in other position groups to keep that from happening.

Leadership is key on any team. The leadership of Chris Olave, Thayer Munford, and other seniors will be key to keep this team on track. Coaches can only lead the team to a certain level. It’s up to the older players to keep everyone on the team accountable.

Next. Tight ends are a matchup nightmare. dark

Expect that leadership to keep this team on track all season. The Buckeyes are on track for another College Football Playoff berth as long as they do just that.
