Kevin Warren almost prevented the Ohio State football program from playing for a national title last season. It sounds like he would do it again too.

The Ohio State football team was on the doorstep of winning a national championship last season. They ended up coming up just short of that ultimate goal. But as we all know, they almost didn’t get the chance to get there because of Kevin Warren’s poor leadership.

Based on his answers today at Big Ten media day, it seems like he would try to screw the Buckeyes out of that chance again if given the choice. At his press conference, he said “If I had the chance to do it all over last year, I would make the same decisions we made”.

What an absolute buffoon! Why would you want to cancel the season and then only change that decision because you had a bunch of angry players and parents yelling at you to change it? Why would you not have regrets? You made a mistake. Just own the mistake and move on.

When you can’t own a mistake that you’ve made and move on, that proves a failure of leadership. That’s what Kevin Warren is at this point; a failure. Mistakes will be made in a position like he is in. That’s fine. What isn’t fine is saying you would make the same mistake over and over again.

Unfortunately, the Buckeyes and the rest of the Big Ten are stuck with this guy for a while. There’s no indication that despite his terrible leadership that they would remove him. It looks like these guys are going to deal with his failure for years to come.

Next. Who should the Big Ten pursue in expansion?. dark

I never thought I’d say this, but bring back Jim Delany! He’s much better than his replacement.
