Master Teague is someone that many fans are going to be watching in 2021. Teague was pretty solid at times for the Ohio State football team a year ago. He ran for 514 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2020 and started the season as the starting running back.

Teague was eventually supplanted as the starter as the season went on by Trey Sermon. Sermon went off on a great run to solidify that starting spot. Now that Sermon is gone, Teague is the only back the Buckeyes have that has significant experience.

The reason why Teague has something to prove is because of the fact he lost his starting spot. In fact, he is going to have to fight to keep his starting spot this year too. He has five-star running back TreyVeon Henderson right behind him ready to take that spot from him.

For Teague, he has to prove that he is better than Henderson. I think Henderson is a transcendent talent. He has a lot of Maurice Clarett in the way that he runs. I think he will get the majority of the snaps this season. But it’s doubters like me that he is trying to prove wrong.

If Teague can have a solid start this season, he has a chance to hold off Henderson. He has to prove he can stay healthy to do so though. That’s something he has struggled with his entire Ohio State football career.

The last person on this list has to prove he is truly elite in order to show he is worthy of being a first-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
