The Ohio State football program doesn’t just get the best players from the state of Ohio. They come into your state and get your best prospects too.

Ohio State football is a national brand. They have fans not just all over the country, but all over the world. I know that because we’ve had readers from Russia, Australia, Kenya, Mexico, and various other countries; every continent except Antarctica.

Recruiting is just on a national scale though. Ryan Day has shown that he is pretty darn good at that. Not only does he get the best players in the state of Ohio, but he goes into other states and gets the best players from those states too. He’s the poacher of all poachers.

Look at the class of 2022 for example. Right now, they have the number one class in the country. They have plenty of good players from Ohio. They have the number one, two, five, and seven players in the state, including five-star linebacker C.J. Hicks.

They also have the best player from the state of Texas in Quinn Ewers, who is the best prospect in the country. They went right into a recruiting hotbed like Texas and just plucked away the best recruit like it’s no big deal. Amazing. Texas isn’t the only state that has happened in either.

Day just grabbed J.T. Tuimoloau, who is the best prospect in the 2021 class from the state of Washington. In 2022, he has the second-best prospect in both Illinois, Colorado, and Arizona. Ohio State recruits all over the place and will get the best prospects, regardless of where they are located.

dark. Next. Four-star OL commits to Ohio State

This isn’t a trend that will soon stop either. Ohio State is in the midst of the best stretch of recruiting in program history. Day is a huge part of that. As long as he leads the ship, the Buckeyes will continue to get the best players from different states all across the country.
