The Ohio State football team has a roster full of great players. This one player is the most underrated though.

The Ohio State football team is stacked from top to bottom. There are players who are four and five-star recruits that have burst onto the scene and played really well for the Buckeyes. But there are some players who don’t get as much recognition as they deserve.

Perhaps the most underrated player on the roster is Taron Vincent. I say that not because of his recruiting ranking, he was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and is the son of Hall of Famer Troy Vincent, but because he hasn’t gotten a chance to show what he can do.

Vincent has been injured most of his college career. He really hasn’t had a good opportunity to play to his five-star pedigree. If he had been healthy last season, there’s a good chance that he would have been able to start over Tommy Togiai. That’s how talented this kid is.

Vincent should be in the starting lineup this season. As long as he can stay healthy in Fall practice, his talent should allow him to get the playing time that he has been longing for. He can play alongside Haskell Garret and wreak havoc on the inside.

The reason I think Vincent is underrated is that I’ve seen a lot of Buckeye fans on social media giving up on him contributing to the Buckeyes because of his injuries. I don’t think fans realize just how dominant Vincent can be if he gets the opportunity to play.

dark. Next. Looking back at a great father/son duo

He will be one of the players that I will be watching intently on the defensive side of the ball this season. I think he could have a breakout year and put his name back on the map to be a high draft pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
