Three Ohio State football players named as preseason All-Americans

The Ohio State football team has three players on their roster who have been named as preseason All-Americans.

The Ohio State football team has a great amount of talent on their team. This shouldn’t be a surprise after the team made the National Championship Game last season. Even though they lost some good players, they still have a lot of great ones left over.

Three of those great players have been named to the Walter Camp Football Preseason All-American team. Those players are Chris Olave, Thayer Munford, and Haskell Garrett. I’m actually a little surprised that more Buckeyes didn’t get that honor from them.

Olave is the best receiver in the country. He will continue to get plenty of targets and will once again put up great numbers in 2021, even with a new quarterback throwing him the ball. What’s surprising is that his counterpart, Garrett Wilson, isn’t named on this list.

Munford is one of the best tackles in the country. He has a shot to make himself a first-round pick with some solid play this season. The Buckeyes should be good enough to put him on a national pedestal as well to get him the notoriety he needs to make that goal a reality.

Garrett was the best defensive lineman the Buckeyes had last season. It was very surprising that he came back this season. He too has a chance to elevate himself into a first or second-round pick with some strong play. He is the rock in the middle of that defensive line.

All of these players are likely to live up to their billing this season. I would be surprised if any of them weren’t All-Americans by the end of the season as well. If that happens, then this team is in good shape to win a lot of games.

These guys will make other preseason All-American teams too.
