The Ohio State football team will certainly be ready for NIL laws, as Ryan Day ended up supporting the Ohio NIL law.

Laws with college athletes profiting off their name, image, and likeness are coming all across the country. Several states have already approved laws. Ohio is trying to do the same thing before the college football season starts. They were hoping to get stuff done before July 1.

Ohio State football Head Coach Ryan Day is trying to help get it passed through. He was present when the NIL law was presented yesterday. Having him be the face of the Ohio State football program, and by doing this the face of this law, is huge for its potential to get passed.

The Buckeyes are one of the teams that stands to benefit from a law like this being passed. They have a lot of opportunities for exposure for their football players. But it’s not just football players that will benefit from this law. Every single Ohio State athlete will be able to make some money.

That helps in recruiting in all of the sports. Football is no different. Day will know everything that goes along with this law, so he can use it perhaps better than any other coach in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes are about to get an even bigger leg up on the rest of the conference.

I would be very surprised if this law isn’t passed by that July 1 deadline. That would mean that the football program would know everything that they need to do before the season starts. It would clean up any lingering confusion that there may be about it.

dark. Next. Justin Fields fits in Chicago in ways other than football

I would also be very surprised if there isn’t a national law on this passed soon as well. It just makes sense to have everyone under the same rules when it comes to athletes making money.
