Justin Fields was the 10th overall pick in the Draft to the Chicago Bears. While he will fit in just fine football-wise, his fit into the city itself is also great for the fanbase.

Justin Fields should have been taken higher in the 2021 NFL Draft. It took the Bears trading up to the 10th spot for him to finally be taken. He will fit what Chicago wants to do on the football field very well, but it’s not the only way he fits in with the city.

Fields has shown himself to be very tough. During his time at Ohio State, he didn’t miss a single game. He played through multiple injuries and gritted out some tough victories in those games. That’s exactly what fans of the Bears like to see in their football players.

Bears fans want to see someone who will work hard and tough out hard times. That’s what people there do every day. They also love a winner, and that is something that Fields certainly did a lot of during his time in Columbus. Fields only lost two games as a starter in college.

Fans will love Fields for years to come because he will fight for them. We saw that firsthand at Ohio State when he fought o have a season during COVID. His teammates will love that fight too, and it should translate to wins. That is what fans will love most about him.

While the rest of the roster around him needs work, Fields will certainly get this team back on track for the playoffs sooner rather than later. Once the Bears fully give him the keys to the offense, he will be able to do what he does best; win.

I’d be absolutely shocked if Fields ends up floundering in the NFL. I think Chicago has themselves a good one.
