The Ohio State football team’s recruiting efforts this month will pay dividends for how this team will succeed in the race for acquiring talent.

June is going to be a really busy month for the Ohio State football team. We have talked about how they are hosting so many prospects this month to win the recruiting war. It certainly isn’t going to be easy, but their efforts this month will pay dividends in the next couple of years.

Recruiting is how programs become, or stay, elite. The Buckeyes know this too. They saw the type of players that Alabama was able to recruit and develop when they got beat in the National Championship Game. Bama is the gold standard in college football right now.

To reach their level, Ohio State has to win more recruiting battles. They have done a good job with that in 2022 so far as they have the second-best recruiting class in the country. This month is their chance to get that rating back to number one in the country.

Ryan Day is good enough at this part of his job that Buckeye fans should not be worried about falling short of gathering top talent. In fact, they should be super excited at the talent Day already has in the class and how that talent can help Day recruit other talented players.

Players like Quinn Ewers and Caleb Burton can help recruit some of the other best players in the country to come to Columbus and play for Day. Both have done some recruiting of other players. Both are the type of players that can help maintain the elite nature of the program.

I’d be shocked if Ohio State didn’t have the top-rated recruiting class for 2022 by the end of the cycle. They have a lot of momentum right now with a lot of great prospects.
