The Ohio State football team will look to improve on their team from last year. This is the time of year which the players can improve on their own.

Summer is a great time of year. It’s a time where more people spend time outside. It’s also time for Ohio State football players to improve some of their skills individually. The offseason is the time for these guys to get that extra notch up and get an edge.

The Buckeyes made the National Championship last season. You would think that there isn’t too much room for improvement after that. But you would be wrong. They didn’t win that game, so there is obviously some room for this team to get better.

A lot of getting better is up to the individual player though. They have to put in the work in order to get to that extra level that is needed to be a national champion. That work happens now in the summertime while they are away from the team.

Players like Zach Harrison, Garrett Wilson, and Master Teague can all use this time to work out and get faster and stronger to become better players and get to that elite notch. All of those players are already very good, but none of them are quite elite yet.

Elite is what Ohio State’s coaching staff is looking for. Elite is what wins titles. That’s what Alabama was last year and that’s why they beat the Buckeyes. I’m sure their players used the summer to get better, just like I’m sure Buckeye players are doing that right now.

The work put in now will show up in November and December. That is the difference between a team that can win it all and a team that will come up just short. Ohio State is determined to not come up short again.
