The former Ohio State football coach has the same thought as the rest of the Buckeye fans in the country when talking about TTUN.

For the last 20 or so years, the Ohio State football program has absolutely owned their rivalry with TTUN. In fact, they have made up a lot of ground in the all-time standings. TTUN had a big lead when they won a bunch of games before WWII. The tide has changed now.

Very few people were more aware of those standings than former Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel. Tressel famously told people as soon as he was hired that fans were going to be proud of his team “in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan”. He lived up to his billing and only lost to TTUN once.

Tressel continues to hope that the Buckeyes beat TTUN. Speaking at an event in Northeastern Ohio recently, Tressel talked about the all-time series record. This is what he had to say about the greatest rivalry in College Football.

"“I hope I live long enough for that day when we’re over .500. Then I can go to sleep happy.”"

That’s the quote of a man that loves Ohio State football and hates TTUN. Tressel just wants to live long enough to see the Buckeyes claim the best record in that all-time series. He wants the Buckeyes to keep dominating the rivalry as they have done over the last two decades.

Based on the way Ryan Day’s squad has been playing, Tressel might get his wish. The Buckeyes don’t look like they’re going to lose another game in the series for quite a while. They are so much better than TTUN right now that the gap is truly a chasm.

dark. Next. This is the time for OSU player improvement

I still love Jim Tressel. I know a lot of you guys do too. This is one of the reasons why.
