The Ohio State football program hosted a camp with a bunch of prospects, and it went well. The Buckeyes even threw out a few offers to campers.

Camps are a huge thing in recruiting. Unfortunately, there haven’t been too many camps in the last year because of the pandemic. Colleges haven’t been able to watch prospects up close and personal. That changed yesterday after Ohio State hosted a camp.

This camp went very well for both the prospects and the Buckeyes. Ryan Day and his staff threw out several offers to some campers who impressed. In fact, they offered two quarterbacks from the class of 2023 to make it three quarterbacks who have been offered in that class.

The top QB in that class is Nicholaus Lamaleava Jr. and he scored himself an offer from Day. He looked very impressive with his arm strength and accuracy. Same goes for Eli Holstein, who also received an offer from the Buckeyes. They weren’t the only ones to get offers either.

Two cornerbacks from that class also received offers from Day and his staff. Kayin Lee was one of those defensive backs who looked great. The other corner who earned himself an offer was Christian Gray. Both are very highly rated prospects in that class.

The final prospect to receive an offer from Ohio State is a defensive tackle from Indiana, Kenneth Grant. Grant is actually from the class of 2022 and was impressive enough for Larry Johnson to want him in Scarlet and Gray. He was the only one from that class to receive an offer.

Next. Mike Doss, James Laurinaitis up for CFB HOF. dark

Camps like this help the Buckeyes find elite talent. The month of June will be full of unofficial visits like this, so hopefully they can find more guys they like.
