The leader of the Ohio State football team has had a lot of success early in his head coaching career. He hasn’t let that success get to his head.

Under Ryan Day, the Ohio State football program has seen a massive amount of success. They have made the College Football playoff in both of his first two years and played for a national championship last season. His team continues to take a step forward every year.

Despite only losing two games in his young coaching career, he hasn’t let the success go to his head. Day is still focused on improving his coaching as well as his team. The best way to improve the team is to recruit at an elite level and he has certainly done that.

Ohio State has the second-ranked recruiting class for 2022 right now. That’s after the Buckeyes were able to secure the second-best recruiting class for 2021. His recruiting efforts won’t slow down no matter how good his coaching record is. He knows he needs top players to keep that success.

As far as his coaching on the field goes, he has evolved his offense to best suit his players’ strengths. Because of that, their offense has been one of the best in the country. That should be true once again this season with all of the talent that they bring back.

Day’s success should only continue to increase as he gets more experience under his belt. He led the Buckeyes to the National Championship Game in the hardest college football season ever because of the pandemic. Things should only get easier from there.

Ohio State football fans should be grateful that they have him leading the Buckeyes. They also have to hope that nothing can lure him away for a long time.
