Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson’s Ohio State careers are coming to a close. There have been few Wide Reciever duos who have done it better.

The Ohio State football team will have a new quarterback under center this upcoming season as Justin Fields has moved on to the NFL. One of the big things that will help the comfort and development of the incoming signal-caller is the wide receiving duo of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson.

One comes in a Senior, a Wolverine killer, and smooth as silk. The other enters his Junior year and is ultra-dynamic and as athletic as they come. Together they’ve been the heart of the receiving corps for a few years now. This is their last year together at the college level, let’s make sure we enjoy the final tour.

Chris Olave burst on the scene a few years ago with a multiple touchdown reception performance against that Team Up North. His game is effortless as he became Justin Fields’ comfort zone when things got tough.

Garrett Wilson came in with a different welcome wagon than Olave did. He was highly recruited nationally. It was apparent quickly that he was super athletic and ready to take on the defenses best defender. Both of them have driven opposing coaches crazy trying to gameplan for the both of them and even with a new QB in the backfield that will not change this season.

Teams will have to deal with both dynamic Ohio State football players

The secondaries that will have to face this WR room for the forseeable future get no breaks as we start to look at the wideouts coming up when Olave and Wilson depart for the next level. Needless to say, that unit is in good hands moving forward.

We look forward to seeing what next level Jaxon Smith-Njigba has after a few eye-opening plays last season. Then comes the star-studded group with size which includes; Julian Fleming at 6’2, 205, Gee Scott Jr sitting at 6’3, 210, and new incoming Freshman out of Massillon High School, 6’2, 192lbs Jayden Ballard.

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s make sure we enjoy the greatness one last time from Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson who have brought us countless memorable performances. They will be great examples as they help develop the young guys, help a new QB, and perform at a high level in their final season together.
