Ohio State football now has a huge advantage over Oregon

With the announcement that the game will be played at noon, the Ohio State football team now has a massive advantage over the Oregon Ducks in that big-time matchup.

FOX has decided that they are going to hitch their wagon to the Ohio State football program when it comes to their college football coverage. Ohio State is the best team in the Big Ten and is the premier program in the Big Ten Conference. They also have the biggest fanbase.

It would make sense for FOX to do this to increase their ratings. They have decided to use the noon timeslot as the time to put all of their big games on. This will now include the big non-conference showdown between the Buckeyes and Oregon.

Having a Pac-12 team play a game at 9 am their time is a huge disadvantage to them. They are going to have to work hard the week prior to the game to make sure their body clocks are awake that early so they don’t come out sluggishly and can actually compete.

Personally, I don’t think this is fair to Oregon. Ohio State is already a formidable opponent. The Buckeyes don’t need any extra help to beat the Ducks. This game should have been played at either 3:30 or 8 pm to make it fair for both teams.

As a Buckeye fan, I’m certainly glad when the Buckeyes can get any advantage possible. Anything that improves Ohio State’s chances of winning is good in my eyes. As a college football fan though, I feel like people need to take something like this into consideration to make it fair for both teams.

This game will certainly get a lot of ratings. These are two premier programs that are the favorites to win their conferences. I don’t think Oregon will let the early start affect them and they will give the Buckeyes a very good game.
