Jack Miller is one of the three quarterbacks fighting for the right to be the next quarterback at the Ohio State football program. So far, it doesn’t seem like he’s doing a good enough job to be seriously considered. He was clearly the worst of the three QB’s playing in the Spring Game.

Miller surprised a lot of people when he ended being the first quarterback off the bench last season in the opener against Nebraska. Miller did end up having a nice long touchdown run in that game and didn’t throw a pass, but people were surprised he was the backup instead of C.J. Stroud.

The opposite seems to be true this season. The leader in the clubhouse appears to be Stroud as we head out of Spring into Summer. Miller is also behind true freshman Kyle McCord, who might have the purest talent of all of the quarterbacks on this roster.

Miller’s chances to get playing time next season won’t be much better. The Buckeyes will be bringing in number one overall recruit Quinn Ewers. Ewers is the best quarterback in the country and at worst will be the primary backup to whoever wins the competition this year.

Miller might be better off heading somewhere else. Perhaps he could go somewhere closer to home. He is from Arizona, so he might call someone from Arizona or Arizona State to see if there is a roster spot available for him there. He would be good enough to start at either place.

All of these players would probably be better off if they searched for somewhere else to play. They would be able to actually show off their skills and possibly get drafted while playing for a new program. They have to do what’s best for them.
