There are plenty of great Ohio State football players left to be taken today in the NFL Draft. These are guys that can help teams immediately.

After round one of the 2021 NFL Draft, the only Ohio State football player off the board is Justin Fields. That was expected heading into last night, although there was a possibility someone could have slipped in at the end of the round. That ended up not happening.

Because that didn’t happen, there are still plenty of Buckeyes available today. These are players that are still really good. Players like Pete Werner, Baron Browning, and Wyatt Davis could all be second-round picks. All are players who can impact a team right away.

Third-round picks today could be Tommy Togiai and Shaun Wade. Wade was initially projected to be a first-round pick last season if he had come out, but he struggled a bit in 2020. That struggle hurt his draft stock because his move from slot to the outside didn’t quite work out.

Wade can still be an effective slot corner in the NFL right away but needs time to work on his technique on the outside. Togiai can plug holes up the middle and push the pocket back into the quarterback, but teams are concerned about his lack of speed.

All of these players have enough talent to play right away. That of course will be determined by the team that picks them. It should be a busy day for former Buckeyes as well as a happy day. More players will realize their dream of playing in the NFL.

I’m very interested to see where all of these players go and how they will fit into their new team’s scheme. We will let you know where every one of these players ends up going.
