#2: Ezekiel Elliott

The second best former Ohio State football player in the NFL is Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott is one of the best running backs that the Buckeyes have ever seen and he has continued this greatness in the NFL.

He was the fourth pick of the 2016 NFL draft to the Dallas Cowboys where he has spent the entirety of his five-year career.

Zeke has made the Pro Bowl three times in his career and was named an All-Pro once.

Up until the most recent season, Elliott has been one of the best running backs in the league, however, he had a very down year in the 2020-2021 season. This is due to a plethora of reasons that did not have to do with Elliott. The Cowboys had the worst offensive line that they ever had since acquiring Zeke.

Along with this, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a major injury that kept him sidelined for the majority of the season. Due to this, opponents were able to stack the box and predict the run against the Cowboys leaving Zeke with not too much to do.

Despite this, he did an awful job holding onto the ball last season. Although he had a career-low in carries since the season he faced a suspension, he tied a career-high in fumbles and had a career-low in yards.

He had very similar stats to his 2017 season in which he has suspended and only played 10 games. However, after the 2017 season, he bounced back and had an amazing year. There is a good chance that this could be the case for him again in 2021.
