The Ohio State football program is still sitting pretty at number one in the recruiting rankings for 2022 and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon.

No one has recruited better in the 2022 recruiting cycle so far than the Ohio State football team. They have 11 total commitments so far for this class, including four five-star prospects. This is of course led by the number one overall prospect Quinn Ewers.

While Ohio State’s lead is slim (they are ahead of Georgia by only three points at the moment), that lead should grow in the coming months. The Buckeyes have plenty of prospects in the pipeline who should be committing to them relatively soon.

A recruiting class like this is exactly what Ryan Day needed. Coming off a national championship appearance has only made this team hungrier. They didn’t finish the job, but they got a good look at the team they need to beat in Alabama. That’s the team they are measuring their success against.

If Ohio State can keep this recruiting class on track, not only will they be national title contenders this season, but for the next two seasons as well. Day has proven his ability as a head coach on the field. Last season was the most difficult season anyone will have to manage because of COVID.

With how well the team performed in the midst of the COVID stuff, and with how Day and his staff advocated for the players’ want to play a season, recruits are now flocking to Columbus. Day really showed why he is a top-three coach in college football.

Next. Craig Young could be the answer at the bullet position. dark

We will keep you informed of any commitments that happen within the next few days, or really at any point this summer. This summer should feature a ton of players wanting to play for the Buckeyes.
