Ted Ginn Jr. was a true playmaker as a member of the Ohio State football team. He was dangerous every time he got his hands on the ball, whether it was on a reception or a kick or punt return. He was a touchdown waiting to happen every time he touched the ball.

After being a first-round pick in 2007 by the Dolphins, Ginn has enjoyed a long and prosperous career. He spent three years in Miami before spending three more years with the 49ers. He then played one year in Carolina, one year in Arizona before going back to the Panthers for two seasons.

He then played three years for the Saints before playing part of last season with the Chicago Bears. He has played for a total of six teams in his 13-year career. He only played six games with the Bears before he was let go in the middle of the year.

Ginn can still help a team in my opinion. He may not do a lot as a receiver anymore, but he can still be dangerous as a return man. He can help a team in that regard. If needed, he can still be a fifth or sixth receiver on a team as well. Even at the age of 35, he is still really fast.

Unlike Hooker, I wouldn’t be surprised if no teams opt to sign Ginn. He is pretty old for a receiver and has never had a 1,000 yard receiving season in his career. That certainly wouldn’t start now. His career has a decent chance of being over.

The final former Ohio State football player on our list is someone who had a ton of potential to succeed at the NFL level, but injuries have kept him from truly playing to that high level.
