The Ohio State basketball player has entered the transfer portal after playing for the Buckeyes for four years. It’s not a big loss for the team though.

Musa Jallow just never could quite get it figured out. As a member of the Ohio State basketball team, he was never able to play to his full potential. Part of that was because of injury as he missed all of last year with an ankle injury that required surgery.

Most of it was due to the fact that Jallow never developed an offensive game. His buckets were mainly off of alley-oop lobs or the occasional lucky three-point shot. He never developed an offensive game that made him a threat, and that made him hard to play.

Jallow will now be leaving Ohio State as he has decided to enter the transfer portal. Jallow will continue his playing career elsewhere. He’s hoping he can find somewhere that will give him more time on the floor and give him a chance to try more things offensively.

The Buckeyes won’t really miss Jallow next season. They already added a defensive-minded guard from the transfer portal in Jamari Wheeler. Wheeler is someone who can actually handle the ball though and has shown the ability to make plays for others too.

Ohio State still needs to add a big man if possible for this upcoming season. It’s unclear if Kyle Young will be coming back or not. Even if he does, he’s still not a true center. Ohio State needs a big guy who can use his size to deter players from going to the rim.

We wish Jallow nothing but success wherever he ends up playing this season. Hopefully, he can finally put all of his tools together to play to his full potential.
