The former Ohio State football player might have a new suitor after a blockbuster trade in the NFL.

Justin Fields was great as a member of the Ohio State football program. He won a lot of games and gave the Buckeyes a chance to win a national championship. Now he has elected to go on to the NFL, where he is looking to change the fortunes of an NFL franchise.

The former Buckeye played great while in Columbus. Despite that, some teams seem to have soured on Fields for whatever reason. Instead of being the automatic number two pick in the Draft, he might slip a little further. Could he possibly end up at three though?

This is a true possibility because now the 49ers have traded for the third overall pick. The 49ers have not been shy in their pursuit of a new quarterback. They would be okay with parting ways with Jimmy Garoppolo. Justin Fields could slide into that spot now.

San Fransisco likely traded up to make sure that they got the quarterback they wanted. They want to make sure that whoever they have their eye on doesn’t get by them. Fields very well could be that guy. He is someone who would work well in that offense.

Fields is someone who can create more offense than Garoppolo can. That is true from both inside and outside the pocket. Fields can use his legs well, which would mesh well with the running attack that they have already established.

Fields would be able to give them a dimension in their offense that they haven’t had in a really long time. He would instantly make them more fun to watch and also more dangerous to play. The former Buckeye would succeed there with how good their offensive line is too.

Next. Zach Harrison needs to step up. dark

We’ll have to see how everything shakes up in the Draft!
