The Ohio State basketball team would face Florida in the second round if they are able to beat Oral Roberts later today.

The Ohio State basketball team will not be looking ahead of today’s contest. Oral Roberts is a really good offensive team who could give Ohio State’s offense some issues. But if the Buckeyes are able to emerge victoriously, we know who they will play.

Ohio State will be facing the Florida Gators. Florida was able to survive Virginia Tech in overtime. This would be the better matchup for Ohio State since Florida loves to turn the ball over. In fact, they have turned the ball over at least 10 times in every game this season.

Every game so far this Tournament has come down to the very end. It’s been great as a neutral observer to all of these games so far. Hopefully, that trend doesn’t continue with Ohio State. The Buckeyes should be able to win that game by double-digits.

Of course, this opponent doesn’t matter if Ohio State doesn’t take care of business. They need to focus on Oral Roberts and no one else. But if they do beat them, Florida is the matchup they wanted. They are an easier team to beat than Virginia Tech.

Florida does have a very skilled big man in the middle though, and we know how much the Buckeyes struggle with big men. They will need to defend Castleton well to make sure they win the game. He really turned it on in the second half and overtime for Florida.
