Ohio State basketball falls one game short of title

"The Ohio State basketball team had a chance to win a Big Ten Championship, but came up one game short."

It was a heck of a game. Ohio State was down 17 in the first half after some terrible shooting and it looked like it was over early. But the Buckeyes would not go quietly into the night.

In the end though, it wasn’t quite enough. Ohio State lost in overtime 91-88. It was a really good game to watch. The Buckeyes just couldn’t get any buckets to go in overtime until it was too late.

Duane Washington had a career game, scoring a Big Ten Chanpionshio record 32 points on 12-21 shooting including 5-10 from three. He brought this team back and hit tough shots to give the Buckeyes a chance.

Even though Ohio State lost this game, they showed that they are still Final Four contenders. They are good enough to beat any team in the country. They just have to get the right matchup late in the NCAA Tournament and then they cam win.

Illinois will end up being a number one seed after winning the Tournament. The Buckeyes will likely be a two seed. We will let you know who their matchup is and what the game will look like with an early preview.

Chris Holtmann should be very proud of his team. They fought hard the entire tournament and made the championship game when no one thought they would. This team is still really good and they have nothing to be ashamed of.
